Proving once again that they do everything big, Rammstein has picked one of fashion’s biggest luxury brands to partner with for a special merch run.
The titans of avant-garde aggression in Rammstein have partnered with luxury brand and international fashion authority Balenciaga for a limited edition merch capsule that is designed to resonate with the band’s most passionate fans.
The collection of nine items features hoodies, shirts, hats, bags and is anchored by a fashion-forward raincoat that is sure to be the biggest ticket item of the capsule. The news of the release includes some background to the project including that the image of the band adorning the line was an outtake from an official photoshoot done for Rammstein.
Coupled with the launch of the limited line, Balenciaga Music functions as an official playlist curator via Apple Music. Demna Gvasalia, Balenciaga’s creative director, created the brand’s very first playlist himself, of which naturally included several Rammstein tracks. The next step was to enlist Rammstein themselves to help curate a playlist in tandem with the capsule launch and the collection of tracks is a brilliant pool of jams befitting the bold pairing of music and fashion. Nine Inch Nails, Korn, Ministry, and Slipknot are juxtaposed with the likes of Thom Yorke, Lana Del Rey, and Sharon Van Etten to present an incredibly diverse list.
