Metal Blade Records teams with Violent Gentlemen brand for a 10th anniversary collaboration capsule

Posted by Ramon Gonzales in Culture on April 28, 2021

Merging the worlds of heavy music and hockey culture Violent Gentlemen are celebrating their first decade with a series of collaboration drops.

DIY trailblazers and hockey enthusiasts Violent Gentlemen are marking their 10th anniversary as brand in a big way.

To celebrate their decade of domination, the brand has been unveiling limited edition products and special collaboration projects on the 27th of each month. The campaign is set to run through November 27th, 2021.

Tapping into the unspoken albeit well established connection between heavy music and hockey subcultures, the most recent collaboration sees Violent Gentlemen joining forced with extreme music institution, Metal Blade Records for a collaboration capsule that includes a hockey jersey, hockey socks, a t-shirt, hoodie, a hat and a patch.

The brand says, “We met Brian Slagel (the owner of Metal Blade Records) years ago at a hockey game, and it was an instant connection. He’s a fellow hockey psychopath who’s dedication to the game goes deeper than you could ever imagine. We’ve enjoyed many games, concerts, and fantastic meals together. We’re extremely proud to finally see our logos together. “

Brian Slagel of Metal Blade says, “I have been a fan and friends with Violent Gentlemen for a long time. It’s truly an honor to do this amazing collab with them. Thanks to all over at VG for these awesome designs! Hope you all enjoy these!”

In addition to the collaboration the project includes some added good will. Violent Gentlemen have released a “Slagel Mystery Jersey” with all proceeds from the sale of this mystery gear being donated to Hard Knox Rescue.
