The single follows “Champion Sound” and caps a historic 2021 for the hip hop game changers.

Pioneering hip hop collective Cypress Hill has punctuated a remarkable 2021 with yet a second serving of the crew’s forthcoming 10th studio album with the latest single, “Open Ya Mind”.

The track follows the March unveiling of “Champion Sound,” a surprise drop that first surfaced on the soundtrack for the video game R.B.I. Baseball 21 alongside the likes of popstars The Chainsmokers, Diplo, and Justin Bieber.

The second single from Cypress Hill’s pending 2022 album treads familiar territory for CH and frames the greater picture of the cannabis industry – examining government and corporate entities dipping their hands in the pot while maintaining their distance for optics. It’s a subject that remains near and dear to Cypress Hill who have long championed the culture of the herb.

The recent charge for Cypress Hill shows the crew roaring back with a head-on charge into 2021. The new music serves as Cypress Hill’s first showing since 2018’s Elephants on Acid, and coincides with a major milestone for the Los Angeles veterans.

Both “Champion Sound” and now “Open Ya Mind” arrive as the band finish out a 2021 which marks the 30th anniversary of Cypress Hill’s seminal self-titled debut. The trio of Bobo, Sen-Dogg and B-Real recently completed an anniversary trek alongside wordsmith Atmosphere – capping the celebration of three decades strong with a sold out showcase at L.A.’s historic Greek Theatre.

Among the additional highlights of 2021 include the reveal of Cypress Hill’s collaborative graphic novel with the launch of Cypress Hill: Tres Equis! in partnership with specialty publisher Z2 Comics. The contributing artists to the project boasted the work of renowned names like Ramon Villalobos and LA culture purveyor, Mister Cartoon.

Cypress Hill also partnered with Stance Socks to mark their 30-year reign with a special collaboration sock that featured a signature tie-dye look and the iconic CH logo. The limited edition sock yet another in a succession of initiatives to celebrate CH’s impact on the greater culture of alternative music.

Lastly, the South Gate OG’s have begun filming their forthcoming Hits From The Bong documentary – launching as a part of Mass Appeal’s “Hip Hop 50” franchise in partnership with Showtime that will premiere in 2022.
