The 30-date trek teams three of heavy music’s most in-demand acts for a run of domination across Europe.
France’s metal powerhouse Gojira continue their dominant run of 2021 with plans that extend well into next year with the announcement of a European tour with two of the genre’s most exciting outfits in tow.
Kicking off 2022 in a major way, Gojira will embark on a 30-date run with both Alien Weaponry and Employed To Serve in support of their universally-lauded LP, Fortitude. The tour will be comprised of two legs, the first commences January 17th in Finland and closes out with two homecoming performances in France on Feb 8th and 9th. The second leg resumes in The Netherlands on Feb 20th and draws to a close in the UK on Mar 13th and 14th with appearances in Manchester and Cardiff respectively.
News of the tour follows the band’s previous announcement of their own headlining run un the United States with Knocked Loose and Alien Weaponry, following their supporting run just under Deftones in what will be a thorough conquering of the U.S.
The band’s extensive touring plans that extend well into next year are all in support of their first album in five years with the highly-anticipated follow-up for their 2016 opus, Magma. In Fortitude, Gojira stand poised to climb to the top of metal’s contemporary elite. Propelled by the strength of towering singles like Another World,” “Born For One Thing,” “Into The Storm,” “Amazonia,” and most recently “The Chant,” the album has already become a forerunner as an album of the year candidate.
