The Devil Wears Prada to perform both ‘Zombie’ EPs in full for North American summer trek

Posted by Ramon Gonzales in News on May 9, 2022

The 32-date trek will include supporting sets from Stray From the Path, Dying Wish and will include additional greatest hits from the band’s catalog.

Metalcore veterans The Devil Wears Prada have announced a massive North American celebration of their lauded Zombie EPs with a titular tour that will see the band perform both releases in full along with a collection of greatest hits during a comprehensive 32-date excursion.

The appropriately dubbed Zombie Tour will also feature supporting sets from some of metallic hardcore’s very best joining the caravan. Stray From the Path is confirmed to serve as the tour’s direct support with emerging PDX-punishers Dying Wish handling the opening rallying cry on each night of the run.

The Zombie-series of extended plays are a decade apart and have been crucial in documenting the evolution of the band’s sound. The initial 5-song extended play of Zombie dropped in 2010 and quickly became an essential in the TDWP catalog.

More than a decade later, the band revisited the Zombie-franchise with a Covid-era continuation of the narrative. Songs like “Nightfall,” “Contagion” and “Termination” reiterated the strength of the band’s sword and added bookended Zombie in a big way. The Zombie-collection comes to life this summer with a tour more than a decade in the making.

With live music back in full swing, we knew we had to come out this summer with a bang,” says Jeremy DePoyster. “Playing both Zombie EPs front-to-back was a no-brainer, and we can’t wait to bring the heavy every night. We’re also tossing in some of our oldest and newest favorites as well, so do not miss this undead summer party. It’s going to be nuts.”

“It’s going to be amazing playing through ZII — the songs were born during lockdown, so we’ve yet to play most of these tunes live,” shares TWDP frontman Mike Hranica. “The original Zombie EP is a proud and fundamental component to our band, combined with support from Stray and Dying Wish, is all going to make for an excellent tour, and there’ll be even more news to come! I can confidently say this will be a summer run to remember.”
