Alien Weaponry unleash fan-driven visual for their second single “Buried Underground”

Posted by Ramon Gonzales in News on August 5, 2021

Enlisting fans to submit clips of their signature stomp, the band has crafted a new music video featuring their most passionate followers.

On the verge of what is expected to be a breakout year for New Zealand sensation Alien Weaponry, the announcement of the band’s sophomore effort in Tangaroa, has fans hoping September 17th comes quickly.

Following the album’s introduction with the unveiling of the substantial title track, the arrival of new music from the band instantly struck a chord with fans who have been eagerly awaiting more material prompted by the strength of the acclaimed debut of their 2018 LP, Tū. Combining the band’s articulate social awareness and environmental consciousness, Tangaroa bridged heavy music with a powerful message of personal accountability and catharsis all in the same collection of songs.

For the second offering from the album, Alien Weaponry called upon their most passionate followers to participate by submitting short video clips performing their own signature “stomp”. Compiling that fan-driven footage, interspersed with live footage of the Alien Weaponry concert experience, the visual for “Buried Underground” presents the celebratory side of one of heavy music’s most promising outfits.

The release of the music video serves to add to the momentum of the band as they prep to unleash Tangaroa on September 17th via Napalm Records and get set to embark on a live run of shows supporting French metal juggernaut, Gojira for a 23-date trek that will also see nightly support from Knocked Loose.

Tangaroa arrives September 17th via Napalm Records and can be pre-ordered – HERE. A full list of the band’s upcoming tour dates can be seen below.
