The music video arrives as the band is due to begin the final week of this historic Great Heathen Army Tour with Carcass, Obituary and Cattle Decapitation.
Viking metal flag bearers Amon Amarth continue their epic campaign with all things Great Heathen Army as the band have unveiled another compelling visual from their latest Metal Blade Records release.
Following the recent news of the band’s collaborative graphic novel project with Z2 Comics, Amon Amarth showcase their enduring heft on the track, “Oden Owns You All” with a visual that best conveys the Norse-inspired death metal pummel that has become their signature.
The visual arrives as Amon Amarth are set to begin the final stretch of their monumental Great Heathen Army Tour. With just a handful of dates remaining, Amon Amarth are due to make make history with a tour finale that will go down in the books. Along with a stellar supporting line-up of Carcass, Obituary and Cattle Decapitation, Amon Amarth will takeover the iconic Kia Forum in Inglewood, Calforinia for final show of the tour. It will also mark the first time ever a death metal band has headlined the venue.
This caps a career year for the Viking metal pillars now celebrating three decades of dominance. On the strength of their 12th album, The Great Heathen Army saw the band mount an international campaign that included a massive co-headlining European trek with Machine Head in addition to countless festival appearances. Arguably the most triumphant moment of the year included a surprise set at Germany’s Wacken Open Air Festival that saw Amon Amarth towering several stories above the festival floor.
To powerfully punctuate the year, Amon Amarth will be invading the Kia Forum with their full-scale European production, featuring Viking ships, a Viking helmet drum riser, live battle reenactments, the now infamous “Viking Row” and all of the pyro needed to illuminate the Los Angeles skyline.
