The band begins their US tour next week with Fit For An Autopsy, Orbit Culture and Vended.
In Flames are turning up the heat in more ways than one in preparation for their upcoming US tour that kicks of September 6th along with Fit For An Autopsy, Orbit Culture and Vended.
Earlier this summer, the band announced they had solidified their partnership with Nuclear Blast Records and paired the news with the reveal of new music with “State of Slow Decay“. The track served as a preview of the band’s newest chapter, combining their timeless sound with modern delivery.
At the beginning of this month, In Flames offered a second delivery of new material with the unveiling of “The Great Deceiver” following a towering performance at their year’s inaugural Knotfest Germany. The band said of the single, “‘The Great Deceiver’ was born out of frustration — basically a reaction to false flags. But since then, it has grown to represent several meanings. There’s a line that says ‘Bend the truth to fit your opinion,’ and we feel that speaks a lot to the narrative happening online, between people, and nations, etc., today. We are more apart now than ever before yet it’s easier to communicate than in any other time in history.”
Just ahead of the band’s return to North American soil, the Swedish legends have presented the music video for “The Great Deceiver”. Showcasing live footage from the band’s recent performance in Dalhalla Brinner, Sweden, the clip underscores the stage intensity of the Swedish masters of melodic metal.
“We have been doing our own festival for a few years,” the band shares. “We take great pride in giving back to our amazing fans at these events by playing deep cuts, but also finding outside the box venues wether be a castle or a retired limestone quarry. We wanted commemorate this year’s event by having our good friend Patric Ullaeus document it. See you next year!”
Coupled with the offering of the incredible new music video is the news of In Flames own hot sauce. Joining forces with Heartbeat Hot Sauce Co., the band’s awesome addition to their merchandise line now features their fiery red habanero variety of hot sauce. “It’s a real pleasure to work with Al and Heart Beat Hot Sauce Co.,” the band enthused. “Everything they make is world-class and we hope you guys enjoy our special edition flavor. Do enjoy with beer, BBQ, and heavy fucking metal.”
