200 Stab Wounds signs to Metal Blade Records

Posted by Ramon Gonzales in News on November 11, 2022

The Cleveland death metal collective marks the beginning of their new alliance with the extreme music label with the reveal of the new single “Masters of Morbidity”

Among death metal’s emerging generation of traditionally-versed, technically-proficient practitioners, Cleveland crushers 200 Stab Wounds have announced their enlistment with extreme music pillar, Metal Blade Records. The band earned universal acclaim with their 2021 full length assault, Slave to the Scalpel released on Maggot Stomp. The album quickly established 200 Stab Wounds as one of the genre’s most promising and punishing prospects and resulted in a slew of tour dates in support of the record.

Now, the band have confirmed their next move aligning with Metal Blade for what will be one of death metal’s most anticipated releases. Previewing the band’s next chapter, 200 Stab Wounds have shared the first single of their Metal Blade era with the unveiling of “Masters of Morbidity”.

Teaming with producer Mark Lewis whose credits include The Black Dahlia Murder, Deicide, Krisiun, and Whitechapel to name just a few, the latest from 200 Stab Wounds not only marks the start of their next professional endeavor, but underscores their continued evolution as death metal songwriters. The band shared, “Masters of Morbidity” marks a whole new level for us as a band. Having fun writing and being open to incorporating some different things into our music that maybe we wouldn’t have done a year or 2 ago. We’re very happy with what we’ve put together and can’t wait to get more out to the masses. See you on the road!”
