What will be at Knotfest Iowa?
13 bands, two stages, the Slipknot Museum, the Knotfest Beer Pit, the Ring of Fire presented by Unkl Ruckus and 30,000 maggots.
Can Knotfest sell out?
Yes, it can, and it will. Get your tickets now as we will not be selling tickets at the door.
Are there VIP tickets?
VIP Tickets for Knotfest Iowa are sold out.
What time do doors open?
11am day of show
Map and Directions
Knotfest Iowa takes place at the National Balloon Classic Memorial Balloon Field, which is located east of Indianola on Hwy 92. From the intersection of Hwy 69 and Hwy 92, go east two miles and follow the balloon traffic signs. Arriving from the East on Hwy 92 typically results in less traffic delays.
The physical address of the venue is 15335 Jewell Street, Indianola, Iowa.
Parking and shuttles
The free Budweiser Safe Ride will be shuttling people from Southridge Mall to the National Balloon Classic Field in Indianola. The shuttles are free and will be running from 10am until 2am. Masks will be required to ride the shuttles and will be provided if needed. Save yourself the hassle and take the shuttle.
Parking on site at the National Balloon Classic Field is available and is free. These lots open at 8am.
Uber and Lyft Drop Off/Pick up – The Drop off and Pick up location for Ride Share services is Pickard Park- address 2205 East Second Avenue, Indianola Iowa. This location has been set up to keep you free from traffic congestion and get you in and out of the festival faster.
If I leave, can I get back in?
NO PASS OUTS ALLOWED — Once you’re in, you’re in!
Is there handicapped accessibility?
Yes, there will be a dedicated section set up east of the front of house mix location for handicapped guests.
Is there an age limit?
Nope. Knotfest Iowa is an all-ages event. Everyone who goes to the festival will need a ticket, no matter their age.

What’s allowed? What should I bring?
- Non-professional cameras, i.e., “point and shoot” or disposable cameras
- Clear bags highly encouraged, small purses, drawstring tote bags and fanny packs. Maximum bag size of 8.5″ x 11”

- Blankets are allowed, but not encouraged — with the crowd expected there may not be enough “safe” room to sit in the crowd

Violations are cause for confiscation of prohibited items or expulsion from the event grounds without refund.
Will there be food or drink available at Knotfest Iowa?
Tickets will be available for the Knotfest Beer Pit – a craft beer event on the festival grounds bringing you the most metal craft breweries.
There will be plenty of food concessions on the festival grounds with a variety of foods. Soda, water, and alcohol will be available to purchase.
Will there be a place to nurse at Knotfest Iowa?
Yes, we will have a place for mothers to nurse and pump.
Can I Vape at the show?
Vaping is allowed.
What happens if it rains?
The show will go on rain or shine. The only way the outdoor component may be delayed/cancelled is in the event of severe weather. (See high winds and or lightning)
Are there vending opportunities available at Knotfest Iowa?
