Columnist Rob Pasbani has your first look that this month’s Forbidden Door PPV, plus what happened on Raw, and news on the next Brock vs. Cody match, who has advanced in Money in the Bank and a preview of all wrestling on TV this week.
After this weekend’s big NJPW Dominion show, two major matches have been announced for AEWxNJPW Forbidden Door, happening at the end of this month. The inter-promotional super show will feature a rematch of a leading contender for match of the year, Kenny Omega vs. Will Ospreay for the IWGP US Championship and the blockbuster dream match announcement of Bryan Danielson vs. Kazuchika Okada.
Will Osprey defeated Lance Archer in the title tournament qualifier and immediately challenged Omega, and the entire country of Canada. Ospreay wants to head in the heel saying that everybody from Canada has been a jerk. “Chris Jericho? Asshole. Don Callis? Asshole. El Phantasmo? Asshole. Bret Hart just moans all the fucking time. I just figure all you Canadians are fucking assholes.”
Meanwhile, Bryan Danielson cut a great promo challenging Okada to a match. Danielson says “You call yourself the Rainmaker? When you step into the ring with me, and you’re getting into the fucking DESERT… there ain’t gonna be NO RAIN.” That’s hard!
Okada officially accepted saying at Forbidden Door fans will see who is the real “Best in the World.”
With only two matches announced, this is already shaping up to be one of the biggest events of the year. The rest of the card could be all six-person tag matches and this would still be a crazy card. I can’t even imagine what other matches there could possibly be.
With Tanahashi still available, will we finally get that match-up with CM Punk? How will SANADA and MJF be positioned on the card as champions? Are we going to see a TV Title unification match between Samoa Joe and Zack Sabre Jr.? With Naito in Mexico later this month, could we be seeing him reunite with Rush and Andrade (PLEASEPLEASEPLEASE!!)
There are so many possibilities, which is why Forbidden Door season is one of the best times of the year! Forbidden Door happens on June 25th in Toronto and will be available on PPV and Bleacher Report.

We talked about it before and I’m like, I don’t know, maybe the crowd is going to boo and we just need to be ready for it because we never know what to expect,” Melo said. “They were so excited which made it so much better. I was, like, about to cry because I was not really expecting the love. So, it was pretty special,” she continued.”The crowd’s coming back around on me,” Guevara said. “We were not always the most loved people out there. For them to give us that big reaction.
