Swift lyrical delivery and a soaring chorus anchor the latest preview from the band’s sophomore full length, ‘Riot Music’.
Arizona unit Dropout Kings continue to mount their dominate charge with another impactful preview from the band’s forthcoming sophomore full length via Suburban Noize Records, Riot Music.
Showcasing a real sense hometown pride, the band linked with emerging nu-metal outfit DED to put on an AZ showcase of stylized songwriting complete with sweeping hooks, sharp lyrical stanzas and Dropout King’s signature bounce.
“Lights Out” follows the previously released singles in “Hey Uh” and the album’s title track, as a presentation of Dropout Kings’ creative depth – emphasizing succinct songwriting to compliment their well-established brand of musical muscle.
Adam Ramey of the grammy-nominated Dropout Kings spoke about the most recent collaboration that underscores the creative hotbed being cultivated in the desert. “Working with Joe & DED has been something we’ve wanted to do for a long time since we both come from Phoenix, Arizona. The track ‘Lights Out’ is one of my favorite songs on the album and Joe killed it! I think it’s a sound our fans have been wanting and missing.”
The single arrives as Dropout Kings prep for their May 5th release, Riot Music. Earning wide-spread acclaim in 2021 with their potent mesh of trap metal in GlitchGang, the AZ outfit teamed with OGs HED PE and worked with DJ Lethal of Limp Bizkit/House of Pain and Twiztid on the 2022 joint EP, The Last Ones Standing – an effort that saw the band erupt with highlight showings at major festivals including Louder Than Life, Rocklahoma, Full Force, So What! and more.
Dropout Kings are currently trekking on their European Tour with Attila and have been confirmed for Ill Niño’s 20-Year Anniversary Of Confession tour set to cover the US later this spring. a full list of dates can be found below.
