As we prepare for Thanksgiving here in the States, you can bet our favorite eateries are featuring some awesome Turkey Day inspired menu items. So if you’re looking for a meal to give you the “Itis,” this month’s menu is for you. The season of the foodie continues. November’s menu has you covered with a heavy dose of monthly burgers and pizza. We also have another sandwich inspired by ‘Two Minutes to Late Night’ host Gwarsenio Hall, this time with a Thanksgiving twist. November is delivering new monthly menu items from our friends at Grill Em All, Kuma’s Corner, Sizzle Pie and Zombie Burger + Drink Lab. Returning after a couple of months, our evil friends the Evil Cooks have a new way of getting Al Pastor out to the masses. We hope you dig this month’s menu as much as we do. Cheers!

Grill ‘Em All – Exciter, Blue Cheer & Anvil Fries

Grill Em’All was started by Chef Ryan Harkins and former professional wrestler Matt Chernus. They served gourmet burgers out of a food truck back in 2009. Before opening up their heavy metal themed brick and mortar they won the first ‘Great Food Truck Race’ and were featured on the ‘Best Thing I Ever Ate.’ Their popularity led them to lay their food trucks to rest and serve burgers and fries out their restaurant in Alhambra, California.

It’s not even Christmas yet and Grill Em’ All is gifting us with two burgers and a special order of fries this month. This month’s featured burgers are the Exciter, named for speed metal pioneers Exciter, and Blue Cheer. And if your stomach still has any space, try an order of Anvil Fries.

The Exciter includes duck confit, goat cheese, cranberry gastrique and field greens on their signature half pound burger.

The Blue Cheer is a sweet and savory masterpiece. This burger has blue cheese, cranberry gastrique and house made chips on their signature half pound burger.

Fierce Bites has notoriously omitted fries from our monthly menu, and we promise it’s not on purpose. We won’t disappoint you this month, so allow us to introduce to you, Grill Em’ All’s Anvil Fries. They drench their house fries with duck gravy, cheese curds, duck confit and topped with duck cracklings.

Kuma’s Corner – Sleep Burger

Kuma’s started in 2005 with its flagship location at the corner of Belmont and Francisco avenues in Chicago’s Avondale neighborhood. From their origins as a corner bar with solid American bistro fare, they’ve grown to five locations that offer the finest burgers available on this planet or any other.

Our Fierce Bites faithful know Kuma’s Corner comes correct with a crazy burger of the month. This month’s offering is inspired by Thanksgiving dinner or maybe the leftovers. This feast of a burger takes a turkey patty and tops it with a tempura fried stuffing patty, turkey gravy, fried sage and cranberry sauce.

Sizzle Pie – Red Fang

Founders Matt Jacobson and Mikey McKennedy came together and envisioned an independent pizzeria that would serve up the perfect slice. In 2011, they opened up their first location on East Burnside Street in Portland, Oregon. Since then, they have consistently ranked in the top 10 independent pizzerias in the country. They serve East Coast style slices and pies with a healthy blend of West Coast flair by turning the freshest, highest-quality ingredients into tried and true classics with bold new pizza visions in a variety of meat, veggie, and vegan options.

Sizzle Pie’s November offering tops their pie with spicy jalapeños, savory sausage, creamy ricotta and a drizzle of Mike’s Hot Honey.

Epic Deli – The Gwabbler

This popular McHenry, Illinois eatery is known for their subs, sandwiches, chimichangas, crazy appetizers, craft beer, cold brew coffee, and dessert. Whether you’re Vegan, vegetarian, keto/low carb or just an over-indulging carnivore; they have something for you.

Epic Deli has once again tapped ‘Two Minutes to Late Night’ host Gwarsenio Hall for a sandwich, this time with a Thanksgiving twist. This Vegan take on a Thanksgiving leftover sandwich takes Impossible chicken nuggets smothered in brown mushroom gravy and topped with Vegan ‘White Castle’ stuffing (made with Impossible pretzel bread sliders), cranberry sauce, tempura green beans and served on a toasted 8-inch sub roll.

Zombie Burger + Drink Lab – Gorgon + Bloody Piña Shake

Zombie Burger + Drink Lab are famous for their inventive flavor combos and once you look through their menu you’ll see just how inventive they can get. The GOREmet eatery evokes a classic roadside burger stand but in a ‘post apocalyptic chic’ setting. They proudly pair fresh ingredients with expert preparation. Zombie Burger features their very own custom three-cut beef burger blend, specially-crafted buns, and hand-mixed shakes.

The Gorgon is literally stacked with double burger patties, crispy fried feta cheese, gyro meat, marinated Roma tomato and onion, hummus and tzatziki sauce.

The Bloody Piña Shake is made with vanilla ice cream, blood orange purée, pineapple tidbits and whipped cream. And it wouldn’t be a Drink Lab concoction without the option to booze it up with Tequila Rose liqueur, right?

Evil Cooks – The Tricitrompo

It been a month but we can’t keep these Fierce Bites favorites off of the menu for too long. Pobre Diablo and La Bruja have been in business over a decade but in the past few years they’ve decided to focus on food production on a smaller scale to give more attention to their customers. LA has some of the best taquerias outside of Mexico but their concept is a little different than most. They specialize in street gourmet tacos and are notorious for their Black Al Pastor and Black Octopus.

We are not showcasing a specific menu item this month, however we do want the world to see The Tricitrompo. It is literally a trompo or vertical spit on a tricycle loaded with everything you need to make their delicious signature tacos de al pastor or their Poseidon taco. Hit the link above to see the Tricitrompo in action.

Follow @evil_cooks on IG for their next pop-up or find them at Smorgasburg LA every Sunday
