The ascending Arizona outfit keep good company and continue to make converts as they trek in support of their Fearless Records debut.
Earlier this year, Arizona collective Archetypes Collide reached an important benchmark in their near decade as a band. Making their full length album debut via Fearless Records, their self-titled effort proved to be a powerful testament not only their songwriting ability and instrumental execution, but also their commitment and persistence when it comes to their craft.
Propelled by the effectiveness of the singles “My Own Device”, “What If I Fall”, “Parasite”, and the recently debuted “Destiny” the anthemic, highly emotive presentation of tracks substantiates the band’s depth of songwriting — combining a range of influences that result in layered compositions, sweeping vocal hooks and the kind of arrangements that make the songs stick.
Working with Beartooth’s Oshie Bichar, the band seem to have found the right combination of personnel to take their brand of big room rock to the next level. Armed with an arsenal of commanding tracks and energized live set, Archetypes Collide have been out in support of their latest presentation as part of the Beartooth/Trivium co-headliner currently crossing North America.
Commanding the stage and making converts the process, the unit finds themselves riding a wave of momentum further materialized by a succession of killer sets – delivering memorable live entries in every city along the way. As a result, the band have not only grown stronger creatively, but also as band of brothers putting in the mileage to chase down their dream.
For the latest edition of the Knotfest Tour Series, Heavy Haul, Archetypes Collide have compiled a set of images from the first few weeks of this pivotal national tour. The photos better frame the growth of the band, leveling up from bar shows to theater gigs. The photos also document the time in between shows spent with tourmates that have since become friends, offering a first-hand account of a band on the rise.
Archetypes Collide continue their run with with Beartooth, Trivium and Malevolence through mid-June. Get a full list of dates and cities below.

To share the stage with Beartooth and Trivium has been nothing but a dream. Besides the fact we are able to open a show with some of our influences that we have looked up to for years but to also be surrounded by so many amazing people who help make the shows run as smooth as possible has made this tour so special.
The energy that the crowd has given off has been insane! We went from 200 capacity bars on our last tour to 2,000 capacity theaters this tour. We may be the first band of the night, but when we walk on stage, the room is full and the crowds have been so welcoming to give us a chance to show them what we are all about.
But when the show is over, the real tour life starts all over again. We like to drive as soon as the show is over, with everyone taking shifts driving until we are close to the next venue before we go to bed (usually when the sun is rising). There are 6 of us on this tour and we sleep everyone in our van and trailer. It’s definitely not glamours but we still love it!
Not to say that we only live in our van during tour, we do have some moments before the show starts to do some exploring. Being from Arizona, the biggest bodies of water we see are backyard pools so getting to see the ocean is one of our favorite sights.
…While the rest of our downtime is usually filled with us goofing around.
We’ve also made fast friendships with the boys in Malevolence! These guys have been nothing but fun to be around and they absolutely rip every show!
We’re only a couple weeks into this tour, and we have enjoyed every moment of it. The bands and crew have treated us like family and the shows keep getting better and better!
