Sleep Token showcase dazzling spectacle; See Images from the recent European run with Slipknot

The theatric rock enigma proved commanding in their opening jaunt for the highly-anticipated tour.

Delivering one of the most ambitious rock records of the year in Take Me Back To Eden, enigmatic rock force Sleep Token added to their swell of excitement when it was announced that the band would be included in the European return of Iowan titans, Slipknot.

Joining the likes of I, Prevail and Disturbed on the highly-anticipated tour, Sleep Token thrived in their role as the roster’s wild card, showcasing a performative prowess that ensured existing fans left affirmed while new fans left convinced.

Beginning what has been a pivotal year for the band, Sleep Token launched the campaign for Take Me Back to Eden with the release of two potent singles in “Chokehold” and “The Summoning”. In the subsequent weeks leading up to the spring release, Sleep Token shared more previews and asserted their range with the pop-latent “DYWTYLM” – a masterful contrast to the band’s theatric take on heavy.

Fueled by the momentum of the album’s spring arrival and the universally strong reception to the release, Sleep Token took full advantage of their spot on the European tour, taking an opening slot and unloading a compelling presentation of skill and showmanship – one that reiterated the health and diversity of the genre.

From the band’s soaring vocal range to the embrace of melody in metal, Sleep Token combine their mysterious aesthetic with an undeniable talent to effect something memorable – a real reward for the fans that opted to be prompt and arrive early.

Capturing the full spectacle of Sleep Token, photographer Ras_Visual collected a cache of images that underscore the significance of the band’s opening set. See the comprehensive gallery below.

Sleep Token are set to embark on a North American tour later this fall on their Rituals headlining stretch. The jaunt will begin at Blue Ridge Rock Fest on September 8th and wrap with their performance at Aftershock in Sacramento, California on October 7th.
