Profits from the sale of the shirt will be donated to Black Lives Matter
Black Sabbath’s Master of Reality, is undeniably iconic. The simplicity of the art is emphatic. The band is now using that same 1971 design to help spread another message. The band has transformed their album art to read BLACK LIVES MATTER for a t-shirt design now available for fans.
As reported by Loudwire, the inspiration for the shirt came from Rage Against the Machine’s guitarist Tom Morello. In an instagram post with his mother, Morello was wearing the Master of Reality/Black Lives Matter design and Geezer Butler took notice, agreeing with the sentiment.
The exclusive shirt design is available for pre-order via the band’s webstore. Product is expected to ship on July 14th. 100% of the net proceeds will benefit the Black Lives Matter Global Foundation.
