WWE’s Kevin Owens + Liv Morgan Legit Inujured + What’s on TV This Week

Plus: The Rock donates to the actor’s strike and which major star re-signed with AEW?

Just as WWE is gearing up for its second biggest event of the year, they have suffered a loss in both the men’s and women’s divisions. Kevin Owens and Liv Morgan are both dealing with injuries.

Rhea Ripley attacked Liv Morgan in a very brutal fashion on Raw last night, which indicates that she will be out for an extended period of time. Liv recently recovered from a left shoulder injury and the report from Bryan Alvarez is that she seems to have injured her right shoulder, leading to the time off.

This explains why the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles were won last week by Chelsea Green and Sonya Deville, with Liv taking the pin for her team.

Ripley had a busy night, also injuring Kevin Owens as Sami Zayn was in the ring facing Dominick Mysterio. Owens is dealing with a fractured rib for weeks now, and it’s at the point of pain where he is requiring a few weeks off.

Elsewhere on Raw, Ricochet and Logan Paul had a cool exchange leading to their official match:

Otherwise, we are fully on the road to SummerSlam which is next Saturday on Peacock TV. Here’s the expected lineup:

Roman Reigns vs. Jey Uso
Trish Stratus vs. Becky Lynch
Ronda Rousey vs. Shayna Bazler.
Asuka vs. Charlotte Flair vs. Bianca Belair
Rhea Ripley vs. Raquel Rodriguez
Gunther vs Drew McIntyre
Logan Paul vs. Ricochet
Brock Lesnar vs. Cody Rhodes
Seth Rollins vs. Finn Balor

Xavier Woods offered an update on New Day’s return saying “We’ll be back in due time.” to Superstar Crossover. The other two New Day members are almost recovered and Xavier noted “If you look at wrestling, the landscape has changed and I love when it changes because it comes at like a slow pace and then all of a sudden, you see all these faces are faces that have only been there for like six months or a year or year-and-a-half. And that’s what’s kind of happening right now. So many people are filtering in. And so as people filter in and they get established and the crowd gets to know who they are, then all of a sudden, New Day, we’re back on the attack.”
