The announcement follows the band’s recent update regarding their 9th full length a new home on Sharptone Records.
PA metalcore pushers August Burns Red is charging into 2022 with not only a new album in the works, but plenty of touring plans to boot.
The band just completed a successful winter run supporting genre giants Killswitch Engage and have already cemented plans to get back on the bus for their ‘Through the Thorns’ summer tour that kicks of in the middle of July and extends through the end of August.
The tour will also feature a beefy line-up of metalcore contemporaries with We Came As Romans sitting the the direct support slot and new school aggressors Hollow Front and Void of Vision rounding out the bill. The band shared, “We are so excited to hit the road with this awesome package filled with our friends in WCAR, and two great new bands: Hollow Front and Void of Vision. We will be hitting up some places we haven’t played in a VERY long time, as well as some familiar favorites. We hope to see you soon!”
The news of the trek follows a recent post from the band that suggests their forthcoming ninth album, will be released on Sharptone Records. Having released their previous three records on Fearless, the only word on the move has come in the form a somewhat veiled social media post.
The 34-date run on the ‘Through the Thorns’ trek starts with a hometown PA show in Harrisburg and closes out in Long Island. VIP packages are currently available with the tour’s general on-sale set for Friday April 1st at 10am local time – HERE. See the complete list of dates and cities below.
