The Sept 5th stream will also feature rising avant-garde metalists Imperial Triumphant. Tickets available now.
After a week of high anticipation built from dark socials with “something new is coming very soon”, the legendary cinematic dark metal band Behemoth have announced ‘In Absentia Dei’, a groundbreaking immersive livestream spectacular broadcasting on Sept. 5th from a secret church location in Poland.
The stream will run in high-def 4K “with an immersive experience option, allowing viewers to choose from 8 different camera angles in the multi-camera shoot or watch the ‘Director’s Cut’.”
Joining Behemoth will be special guests: rising avant-garde metalists IMPERIAL TRIUMPHANT, performing from The Slipper Room in New York City.
BEHEMOTH frontman and visionary, Nergal informs us, “We bring a new offering for our faithful Legions! You’ve seen BEHEMOTH in many places across the globe, but never before in the Holy Church. This is a truly innovative event of which the likes have not been seen before. There will be ritual, there will be sacrilege and all from the comfort of your home. A worldwide streamed event for A New Aeon indeed! In Absentia Dei.”
‘In Absentia Dei’ will also feature a free hour long pre-show at youtube.com/behemothofficial starting at 1pm ET / 10am PT/ 6pm UK / 7pm CET.
Tickets for the cutting edge livestream are available now at https://www.behemoth.live, though recommend you buy early as there is a 20% early-bird discount on tickets through August 28th at Midnight CET. (Parts of the performance may offend, so the footage is only recommended for fans 18+)
In addition, Behemoth is releasing a limited run of event merch here, though quantities will burn through quick so hit it soon.
Earlier this year, Behemoth released a 4 track EP ‘A Forest’ based on the title track reimagining of the classic song from The Cure. The EP included a studio and live version of that track featuring Niklas Kvarforth of Shining and two originals “Shadows ov Ea Cast Upon Golgotha” & “Evoe”.
