The second serving from the band’s album and accompanying film is a brilliant showing of dark synth and ethereal melody.
Boy Harsher Release New Single, “Give Me a Reason”
From The Runner (Original Soundtrack), Out January 21st via Nude Club/City Slang
Boy Harsher have released their latest single, “Give Me a Reason” from their upcoming film/original soundtrack The Runner, out January 21st via Nude Club/City Slang.
“Give Me a Reason” is rife with steamy & sinister ambiance reminiscent of the 80s. Neon lighting is almost palpable with every drum beat. With snappy synths and infectious rhythm, the track is a poppy contrast to the previous single “Tower”.
The dark wave duo will also release a short horror film accompanying the album. The band comments on the track: “With ‘Give Me a Reason,’ we wanted to write something that encapsulates that feeling of yearning — the way we feel when we catch eyes from across the room. Our music can be flirty and crushable, and it’s fun to play with that.”
As Boy Harsher continue to tease the cinematic experience of The Runner, both the anticipation and anxiety created by the music enhances the nature of the fully immersive experience. More information on screenings is to come. Following the release of the album and film, Boy Harsher will embark on a North American and European tour — all dates are listed below and tickets are on sale now.
