Cannibal Corpse tap Whitechapel, Revocation and Shadow of Intent for a brutal 2022 tour

The two-fold tour will celebrate the release of Cannibal’s brilliant return to form in ‘Violence Unimagined,’ and mark the 40th anniversary of Metal Blade Records.

Among the most celebrated releases of the year, Cannibal Corpse’s Violence Unimagined served as powerful testament to the band’s enduring legacy and undeniable prowess as innovators and leaders among the ranks of death metal. The OGs delivered an astounding 11-track effort that saw the official addition of Erik Rutan (Morbid Angel/Hate Eternal) and the standard of the genre elevated once again with a show of brute strength and skill that underscore why they band continues to be championed decades into their tenure.

Now, the band have confirmed plans to take their campaign of brutality on the road for a monumental 2022 trek that pools together a multi-generational roster of heavy hitters. Performing selections from Violence Unimagined along with essentials from their vast catalog of work, Cannibal Corpse has also recruited label mates Whitechapel, Revocation and Shadow of Intent for a cross-country trek that is loaded with horsepower.

The tour’s number two in Whitechapel are gearing up for their highly-anticipated follow up their critically lauded 2019 full length in, The Valley with their eighth studio album, KIN. Already showcasing their continued progression of brutality, singles like “A Bloodsoaked Symphony” and “Lost Boy” have fans fixed on the album’s October 29th arrival date.

In addition to the first tour in support of Violence Unimagined, the Cannibal Corpse headed caravan will be flying the flag for their longtime record label to mark a special milestone. The tour will also commemorate the 40th anniversary of cultural authority, Metal Blade Records – a label that has been integral to the culture and influence of the heavy music.

The tour begins February 19th in Atlanta, Georgia and makes its way through more than two dozen key markets, before finishing out on March 26th in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. Tickets for the tour go on sale Friday, October 15th at 10:00am local time.
