Chaos & Carnage – Suicide Silence and Carnifex team for co-headling cross-country beatdown

The multi-generational deathcore caravan includes supporting sets from including Lorna Shore, Upon a Burning Body, AngelMaker, and Distance.

If there was any question as to whether deathcore was in the midst of another roaring resurgence, the latest touring announcement in the pairing of genre trailblazers in Suicide Silence and Carnifex should leave zero doubt.

The tandem will top a co-headlining run later this spring appropriately dubbed the Chaos & Carnage Tour. While the union of Suicide Silence and Carnifex already makes for an intriguing ticket, the run will also include a supporting roster of the genre’s most exciting, emerging forces.

Coming off of a banner 2021, modern deathcore powerhouse Lorna Shore will be no doubt be a driving force of the Chaos & Carnage tour. The band’s 2021  …And I Return to Nothingness EP was universally praised as one of the year’s best releases, propelled by the unwavering strength of the single, “To The Hellfire”, which has over 6.2 million views on YouTube and racked up over 1 million Spotify streams in the first week.

Texas terrorizers Upon A Burning Body are also highly-touted on the bill. The band’s 2021 single “Snake Eyes” showcased a return to form for the San Antonio-based unit. Canadian deathcore sensation AngelMaker will also augment the tour bill. The Vancouver crew took on 2021 with a stirring succession of two-track EP offerings that showcased the next generation of the genre with fierce technicality and brute force.

The Chaos & Carnage title tour is the third traveling showcase of deathcore and given the multi-generational snapshot – the category seems as relevant and robust as ever. “For over two decades it’s been deeply humbling to see how far the genre has come,” confided Chris Garza of Suicide Silence. “‘Chaos & Carnage’ brings to you the best of the best from multiple generations. It’s an honor to still be here, sharing the stage with Carnifex and the rest of these amazing bands. STOKED.”

Tickets for the third installment of the Chaos & Carnage Tour with Suicide Silence and Carnifex goes on-sale January 14th at 10am local time. VIP upgrades will be made available starting January 21st.
