Deathcore’s elite deliver a cross-country clobbering to close out 2021.

Bridging the waves of deathcore among it’s most proven purveyors and it’s most current contributors, Chelsea Grin has recruited emerging powerhouse Brand of Sacrifice for a one-two that reaffirms the current resurgence of the genre.

The Path to Suffering tour kicks of Nov. 27 and runs through Dec. 18 for a 18-date engagement that compiles some of heavy music’s most exciting, engaging artists. In addition to the tandem of Chelsea Grin and Brand of Sacrifice, the trek is rounded out with the addition of SharpTone Records’ Kingdom of Giants – a band who continue to make strides based on the strength of their 2020 full length, Passenger.

Opening the run, East bay brutalizers Filth will kick off the nightly festivities, performing cuts of their 2021 release, The Ignorance. The band’s no-bulshit brand of heft will certainly set the tone for brutality that anchors the tour.

While Chelsea Grin have remained relatively quiet since their 2018 studio album Eternal Nightmare, the band have revived their live itinerary confirming a slew of dates for 2022 including a UK/European run with genre OGs Carnifex and deathcore’s most recent phenomenon, Lorna Shore.

As for the tour’s direct support, Brand of Sacrifice continue to crush based on the strength of their 2021 opus, Lifeblood. The band’s meld of anime aesthetic and well-produced pummel result in tracks like “Animal,” “Altered Eyes,” and “Demon King” becoming a new standard for the category.
