The band’s 25-date run will; include support from Dance Gavin Dance and Mothica and will be Coheed’s first major headlining trek in five years.
Coheed and Cambria have announced a run of summer dates in support of their highly anticipated new album Vaxis II: A Window of the Waking Mind, due out on May 27th. This marks the band’s first major headlining tour in 5 years. They will be joined by Dance Gavin Dance and Mothica for the upcoming 25-date trek. The tour kicks off July 12th in Miami, Florida, and runs through an August 17th show in Troutdale, Oregon. Tickets go on sale this Friday HERE.
Today they have also shared the latest single from Vaxis II, “The Liars Club.” The futuristic animated video is perfectly fitting for the anthemic modern track. Vocalist/guitarist Claudio Sanchez remarks: “When the truth is such a mess, who doesn’t want to live out a different reality? Who doesn’t want to embrace a lie?”
Vaxis II is the 2nd installment of a 5-part series about a couple on the run from tyrannical forces and their mysterious new addition. Adding to the fully immersive experience of the story, the band will also release a limited edition box set containing a 96-page illustrated hardcover novel “A Window of the Waking Mind” which was developed by Sanchez and written by his wife Chondra Echert with artwork by Chase Stone. Pre-orders for the album on DSPs and for the collection’s deeply immersive Vaxis II: A Window of the Waking Mind Limited Edition Deluxe Box Set are available HERE.
