Corey Taylor joins Taylor Hawkins of Foo Fighters, Dave Navarro and Chris Chaney of Jane’s Addiction for David Bowie tribute

The supergroup known as Ground Control will pay tribute to theTin White Duke for ‘A Bowie Celebration: Just for One Day’ and mark what would have been Bowie’s 74th birthday.

The list of performers and appearances scheduled for the January 8th tribute to David Bowie, A Bowie Celebration: Just for One Day, continues to pool some of the biggest names in music to pay tribute to life and legacy of a true innovator.

Among the most recent performers announced for the January 8th event, Corey Taylor is set to led the supergroup known as Ground Control that features Taylor Hawkins of Foo Fighters as well as Dave Navarro and Chris Chaney of Jane’s Addiction, for a truly epic musical tribute.

Among the stars already confirmed for the tribute event that celebrates what would have been Bowie’s 74th birthday include Nine Inch Nails architect Trent Reznor along with collaborative partner Atticus Ross and Trent’s wife and How To Destroy Angels vocalist, Mariqueen Maandig Reznor.

Additional appearances include Smashing Pumpkins’ Billy Corgan along with Lzzy Hale of Halestorm, Ian Ashbury of The Cult, Corey Glover of Living Colour, Brody Dalle of The Distillers, Taylor Momsen of The Pretty Reckless, Gavin Rossdale of Bush, Joe Elliott of Def Leppard, Yungblud, Adam Lambert of Queen, and Perry Farrell of Jane’s Addiction, are all set to join the event.

The ensemble cast doesn’t stop there as the likes of Gary Oldman, Ricky Gervais, Ian Hunter, Anna Calvi, Duran Duran, Michael C. Hall, Gail Ann Dorsey, Bernard Fowler, Peter Frampton, Lena Hall, Judith Hill and Boy George will also be involved in the tribute.

The show will also feature the contributions of Bowie’s longtime producer and collaborator Tony Visconti as well as members of Bowie’s touring band.
