Damnation Festival Announces Ministry, Converge, Pallbearer + More For 2022 Lineup

With the 2021 installment just weeks away, plans for 2022 are already coming together along with the aim to return to Manchester.

With the state of live music more certain, Britain’s Damnation Festival is on track to put on a sold out show on November 6, and organizers are already firming up plans for 2022.

Thus far, industrial pioneers Ministry and prog rockers Converge are set to headline, with Destruction, Pig Destroyer, Pallbearer, Elder, Despised Icon, and Toxic Holocaust also confirmed to perform. Additional bands will also be announced as the event’s May 11 date draws closer.

The one-day event will be moving back home to Manchester at the BEC Arena after being held at University of Leeds’ student union for the past 15 years. The venue change means that Damnation is going to be the largest indoor metal festival on the continent, with BEC ringing in at a 6,000 person capacity.

While international travel remains precarious due the pandemic, acts from across the pond are feeling optimistic about next year.

“Third time’s the charm! After Covid derailed our performances at @damnationfest 2020 and 2021, today we’re excited to announce we will be there in 2022,” Little Rock doom practitioners shared on social media this week.

Pallbearer previously rocked Damnation in 2017, prompting their future return to England. Pig Destroyer, too, had to pull out of their headlining spot on the 2021 lineup but has graciously decided to return in 2022 after their 2012 set on the Terrorizer stage.

“Pig Destroyer agreeing to come back after they had to scrap their headline set this year was a huge coup, while Destruction and Pallbearer were also hugely popular when they played previously,” says Damnation organizer Gavin McInally.

Tickets for Damnation are 2022 are currently available, but are going fast. On September 1, Damnation announced via Twitter that 1,000 had sold within the first 10 hours of being on sale. Secure your seat now on the official Damnation website:  https://www.damnationfestival.co.uk/tickets
