The longest-running North American metal tour brings together proven veterans and punishing prospects for a stacked 23-date spring run.
A bleak cloud will descend upon the US as Swedish black metal legends Dark Funeral join forces with progressive death metal bruisers Cattle Decapitation, death metal rising stars 200 Stab Wounds, and atmospheric black metal project Blackbraid for Decibel Magazine’s 2023 Tour. The stacked tour will kick off on May 11th at The Observatory in Santa Ana, CA and wrap on June 10th at the Regent Theater in Los Angeles, CA.
“North America, we will soon meet again. And this time we’re coming back to headline the epic Decibel Magazine Tour – what an honor,” says Dark Funeral guitarist/founder Lord Ahriman. “We have already prepared a new and absolutely amazing setlist. You will be in for a massive treat this time, no doubt.”

What Blackbraid is doing is super sick, and we do love our black metal, so all in all its looking to be quite an awesome run!”
Dark Funeral will be touring in support of their seventh studio album, We Are The Apocalypse, which was released on March 18th, 2022. The album was the first to feature the band’s new drummer, Jalomaah, and bass player, Adra-Melek and was released to critical acclaim, peaking o. 6, No. 13, and No. 28 in the German, Finnish, and Swiss albums charts respectively.
Cattle Decapitation will release their 8th studio album, Terrasite, on May 12th, 2023, right as the tour begins. 200 Stab Wounds released their last full-length, Slave to the Scalpel, in 2021, but recently released a standalone single, “Masters of Morbidity,” which could indicate a new album is possible before or during the tour. Blackbraid recently released their debut album, Blackbraid I, which was lauded by critics and fans alike.
