The title track is the second offering from the band’s first album back after a seven year hiatus.
Deeds of Flesh continue to ignite the excitement of death metal fans in the build-up for their first record back in seven years.
Enlisting the help of John Gallagher of Dying Fetus and Matt Sotelo of Decrepit Birth, the band has unleashed the title track and the second offering from their upcoming studio release, Nucleus.
The band issued the following of the track and the album.
“‘Nucleus’ is a great representation of the new album as a whole. It has a technical instrumental intro to grab the listener before the vocals kick in building up to the faster pacing in the song. It’s quite dynamic throughout as well as having space and grooves for John Gallagher’s (Dying Fetus) vocals to drop in.
At other times, we incorporated things like layered guitars, bass tapping and polyrhythmic ideas on the drums. The song ends with a huge chord-based half-time feel before closing with an all-out blast and killer guest guitar solo by Matt Sotelo.”
Nucleus marks the band’s return after an extended hiatus and the tasing of founder, Erik Lindmark in 2018. The album features a collection of guest contributors ranging from Luc Lemay (Gorguts), George “Corpsegrinder” Fisher (Cannibal Corpse), and Frank Mullen (Suffocation) to name just a few.
