The band has revealed a very cinematic poster teasing Cleopatra Coleman as the clip’s star.
Deftones run of compelling visuals and pristine media drops seems to be firmly in tact as the band has began teasing what looks to be their next music video and they have enlisted some heavyweight filmmaking talent to level up their game.
Hitting their socials with sleek, cinematic movie poster, Deftones are prepping to debut the music video for the track “Ceremony” from their 2020 Album of the Year candidate, Ohms. For this particular visual, Deftones worked with horror auteur Leigh Whannell, whose credits include ‘The Invisible Man’, “Insidious: Chapter 3′, and the upcoming reboot of the ‘Wolfman’ classic.
In addition, the film poster also lists Cleopatra Coleman (‘The Last Man On Earth‘, ‘In the Shadow Of The Moon‘) as the star the music video, along with the members of the band as her support.
In true Deftones fashion, the post was cryptic in its vagueness – with no additional information being listed other than the sharing the visual. Considering the week’s big 4/20 holiday on deck, there might be some room to suggest that fans will be able to see the new Deftones visual through a cloud of smoke in the next 24 hours.
Just a hunch.
