Dying Fetus announce new album and set fall US headlining tour with The Acacia Strain, Despised Icon, Creeping Death and Tactosa

Posted by Ramon Gonzales in News on July 11, 2023

‘Make Them Beg for Death’ arrives September 8th via Relapse Records and serves as the long-awaited follow-up to ‘Wrong One to Fuck With’.

In the last year, death metal dealers Dying Fetus have revealed important glimpses of their next chapter. Last fall, the band shared their first offering of new music since 2017’s Wrong One to Fuck With, with the four-minute onslaught of “Compulsion for Cruelty“.

Earlier this year, Dying Fetus offered an indication of the pummel to come via their co-headlining stint on the Chaos & Carnage Tour with the release of “Unbridled Fury” a pulverizing follow-up single that showcased the technicality that has made the band such enduring legends.

Now, Dying Fetus have confirmed the arrival of their next full length studio effort, setting a September 8th arrival date for Make Them Beg For Death. The album will be released via Relapse Records and again features the band’s ongoing collaboration with longtime producer Steve Wright with the final mix helmed by Mark Lewis (Cannibal Corpse).

To commence the march towards the release of the band’s landmark ninth studio effort, Dying Fetus has revealed another offering from the 10-track arsenal with the release of “Feast of Ashes”. Coupled with a grisly visual directed by Blvckbox Studios, the third cut further asserts the band’ unparalleled death metal muscle – setting the bar for brutality in the modern era.

Dying Fetus drummer Trey Williams spoke about the weight of the next album and how it underscores the band’s undisputed rank in extreme music. “It follows on from where Wrong One To Fuck With left off,” Williams explains. “We don’t need to participate in the technical death metal arms race. We’ve got the big guns, and we’ve proven that. It’s all about pointing them in the right direction, so to speak.”

The announcement of the album also includes the confirmation of US headlining tour for Dying Fetus in support of the release. The 26-date stretch will see the band sharing selections from Make Them Beg for Death and will include a massive supporting roster with The Acacia Strain, Despised Icon, Creeping Death and Tactosa all joining the trek.

The domestic fall headliner follows an extensive European run for Dying Fetus which begins later this month. The international trek boasts massive festival plays including appearances at Wacken Open Air, Rockstadt Extreme, Brutal Assault, Party San, Alcatraz Open Air, Summer Breeze, and Motocultor.
