Watch the mini-doc detailing the exhaustive search that spanned some three years and more than 300 auditions.

Currently gearing up to embark on a massive North American tour side-by-side with Static-X, industrial metal vets Fear Factory have finally pulled back the curtain to reveal their new vocalist, following the departure of Burton C. Bell in 2020.

Giving the announcement a proper rollout, the band, particularly founding guitarist Dino Cazares, has unveiled a mini-documentary introducing frontman, Milo Silvestro. Hailing from Rome, Italy, Cazares first discovered Silvestro online via the New Breed Fear Factory fan page. The aspiring vocalist had shared various covers of Fear Factory essentials, piquing the interest of Cazares.

In the short film, Cazares goes on to share the details of the exhaustive search that took some three years and saw more than 300 auditions for the position. The founding guitarist shared, “It’s time to introduce the world to our new vocalist. The search was long and meticulous, but I know for sure we got the right guy.

Cazares spoke confidently about the firecast for the band with Silvestro now in position. “It is a big week for us in FEAR FACTORY as we make our final preparations for our return to the live stage touring across the US, beginning February 25th on the ‘Rise Of The Machine’ tour. We can’t wait to get out on the road and start kicking some ass. ‘The Machine Will Rise’.”

As the son of two Italian musicians, Silvestro detailed his credentials and pedigree while confiding his fandom of the pioneering band for many years. “This is a huge opportunity for me. I’ve been a fan of the band for many years and it feels very surreal but I’m excited to be part of it. I know I have some massive shoes to fill but I’m here to do it in the best way possible and give justice to the vocal legacy of this legendary band.”

Set to begin this week, Fear Factory head out on the “Rise Of The Machine” North American tour supporting Static-XThe sprawling 42-date trek will also feature Dope along with Mushroomhead and Twiztid on select dates. Get a complete list of dates and cities below.
