Fear Factory unveils plans for 2021 that include a new record and a vinyl reissue of ‘Demanufacture’

Posted by Ramon Gonzales in News on January 18, 2021

The vinyl reissue will be the first time the album is offered on wax in the U.S. and will include a bonus live album that features the band’s 1996 set from Ozzfest

On a recent episode of ‘Alive & Screaming’ with Ted Aguilar of Death Angel, Dino Cazares sat in for a discussion about the band’s iconic catalog and offered some information about the forecast for Fear Factory in 2021.

According to Cazares, there is a new Fear factory record on the way with the first single expected to drop very soon. The album is aiming for a spring release on Nuclear Blast Records and will serve as the 10th studio LP from the band and the final with longtime vocalist and collaborator, Burton C. Bell.

After a long stretch of litigation between former members of the band, Cazares and Bell, the outcome resulted in Cazares taking on the entirety of the Fear Factory trademark. Last year, Bell announced he was walking away from the band for good, punctuating an especially turbulent era in the history of the band.

The long-awaited album from Fear Factory had long been a working project, as Bell had recorded vocals quote some time ago. The project was ultimately held up as the band’s legal proceedings played out. Since then, the final touches have been completed with the album rollout in the works.

In addition to the new album, Cazares detailed a forthcoming first time US vinyl release of the band’s definitive Demanufacture LP. The deluxe edition will also include a live album featuring a performance from the 1996 touring cycle from Ozzfest.
