Fear Factory’s Dino Cazares rejoins Max Cavalera and Soulfly for their early 2022 US tour

Posted by Ramon Gonzales in News on January 24, 2022

The veteran pair of metal icons share the stage once again for a massive 35-date trek with Short Fuse and 200 Stab Wounds.

Though sci-fi/industrial metal pioneers Fear Factory were initially set to join Static-X for the 20th anniversary tour of Machine, the reschedule trek (now slated for 2023) has freed up some time for influential guitarist and Fear factory founder, Dino Cazares.

Tribal metal pillars Soulfly have decided that last year’s fill-in run was so nice, it had to be done twice. In 2021, Soulfly hit the road for a US club tour and enlisted the talents of Cazares on guitar for the stretch of dates. With a stacked 35-date tour set to begin next month, Soulfly saw an opportunity to again capture that lightning in a bottle.

Max Cavalera shared, “Soulfly would like to welcome back our brother/legend Dino Cazares to share the stage once again with us! Round One was amazing! The Tribe in other cities will now get the chance to see this epic lineup, playing classic trax and some surprises from our new record!”

Dino Cazares added, “I will reenter the riff vortex with the Soulfly Tribe! I look forward to rejoining Max and La Familia on their U.S. tour, destroying stages with an avalanche of classic anthems and brand new songs.”

Adding to the strength of the tour, the supporting positions will be helmed by Short Fuse and the quickly ascending Cleveland death metal crew of 200 Stab Wounds. The band’s 2021 Maggot Stomp release, Slave To the Scalpel was listed among Knotfest’s 50 Best Albums of 2021 for it’s bolstered brand of classic-era brutality.

General admission tickets for the tour are now on sale at soulfly.com
