The track was featured on the band’s 2020 full length ‘F8’ and will be featured on the upcoming horror/thriller film, ‘The Retaliators’
Five Finger Death Punch has released a new visual for the track, “Darkness Settles In” from the band’s 2020 full length LP, ‘F8’. The track is one of four singles from the album proceeded by “Inside Out”, “A Little Bit Off” and “Living The Dream”, all of which reached that coveted number one spot on U.S. rock radio.
The timely release of the latest music video also adds to the anticipation of the Better Noise Films production in the horror thriller in The Retaliators. The film due out later this year, depicts the harrowing story of a pastor seeking vengeance for the brutal slaying of his daughter, only to traverse a seedy underworld in the process. The film’s cast includes, Michael Lombardi (“Rescue Me”), Marc Menchaca (“Black Mirror” and “Ozark”) and Joseph Gatt (“Game Of Thrones”, “Banshee”, “Ray Donovan”). The feature will also mark the acting debut of Jacoby Shaddix of Papa Roach, who will also be featured on the soundtrack.
As for the soundtrack, the film boasts a stellar list of contributors to the music portion of the film with The Hu, Tommy Lee, Ice Nine Kills, Escape The Fate, Bad Wolves and more joining the likes of Five Finger Death Punch.
As for the music video for “Darkness Settles In,” the track features the band among intimate confines performing the track, with footage from the film interspersed throughout the visual. The news of the video also underscores the band’s thriving status in the universe of rock music as Five Finger Death Punch is vying for Top Rock Artist at the upcoming Billboard Music Awards. The band is also in the running for Rock Artist of the Year at this year’s iHeartRadio Music Awards. Both award show presentations take place later this month.
