“Rescued” is the first single from the bittersweet titled, ‘But Here We Are’.
With plenty of movement happening recently in the FF camp in the way of confirmed tour stops and even the tease of new music, it was expected that Foo Fighters were on the verge of making a big announcement.
The band did in fact make good on their hint of new music, confirming that their next album, But Here We Are, will be released on June 2nd via Roswell Records/RCA Records. Coupled with the news, the band has debuted the lead single from the album with emotionally-charged, “Rescued”.
Harkening to the earliest work of band, the single captures the band’s unparalleled level of songwriting and enduring stylistic signature that has made them so beloved. Thematically, the single resonates as poignant and vulnerable, as the band work through a year immeasurable loss in song.
Enlisting Greg Kurstin to share the production duties along with the band, But Here We Are is the 11th full length studio album for the band and the first delivery of new material following the tragic passing of Foo Fighters’ drummer Taylor Hawkins back in March of 2022.
The announcement arrives as the band have continued to confirm new touring dates for 2023, resuming their run on the road and opting to pay tribute to their departed brother the best way they know how. Recenrtly, Foo Fighters added six more arena dates to their upcoming schedule. Foo Fighters will play festival stages both home and abroad, making appearances at Sonic Temple in Ohio, Boston Calling Music Festival, Bonnaroo in Tennessee, Rock Am Ring/Im Park in Germany and Fuji Rock in Japan all in addition to the band’s own headlining dates.
