The Knotfest Iowa roster boasts performances by Faith No More, Megadeth, Lamb of God, $uicideBoy$, Gojira, Trivium, Tech N9ne, Fever 333, Knocked Loose, Turnstile, Gatecreeper, and Vended. The festival kicks off Slipknot’s U.S. run with the ensuring Knotfest Roadshow that will see Slipknot team with Killswitch Engage, Fever 333, and Code Orange for a 24-date caravan stopping at amphitheaters across the country.
Another late summer run making headlines in the world of heavy is the return of thrash pillars Megadeth. The Metal Tour of the Year remains one of the most anticipated events of the year and pairs Mustaine and crew with Virginian veterans Lamb of God for a co-headlining affair that touts two heavyweights to sweeten the show. Adding Floridian mainstays Trivium and hardcore heroes Hatebreed to the bill, The Metal Tour of the Year is deserving of such a title.
