Ghost team with Amon Amarth for 2023 Re-Imperatour

Posted by Ramon Gonzales in News on February 13, 2023

The massive 27-date spectacular brings together two of the genre’s most commanding live bands for a late summer run.

The 2023 touring slate continues to swell as news of another incredible pairing has been confirmed. Following Ghost’s dominant 2022 that saw a run of sold out shows and the arrival of their Grammy-nominated Impera, the clergy have now announced the launch of the Re-Imperatour. Rebooting the touring banner they carried throughout 2022, Ghost have enlisted viking metal lords Amon Amarth for the secondary voyage.

Spanning some 27-dates across the United States, the trek will begin August 2nd and culminate with an evening at the Kia Forum in Inglewood. The band will continue to trek in support of their universally-praised fifth studio album, Impera.

As for Amon Amarth, the confirmation follows a career year in 2022 that included the release of the band’s epic album, The Great Heathen Army. In support of the campaign, the band toured relentlessly on both the Vikings and Lionhearts co-headliner with Machine Head and the sprawling Great Heathen Army tour with Carcass, Obituary and Cattle Decapitation. The run closed out with a historic evening at The Kia Forum, marking the first-ever headlining set from a death metal artist in the venue’s storied history.
