The collaboration track is the latest in a series of singles that have thus far included Chad Gray of Hellyeah and David Draiman of Disturbed.

High energy standout Hyro The Hero has dropped a new single with a little help from horror-enamored metalcore pioneer Spencer Charnas of Ice Nine Kills.

The anthemic “Retaliation Generation” is a bombastic blend of inflammatory lyricism, strengthen by a sweeping hook that makes the track especially memorable. The single is the latest in a series of collaborative selections that began emerging in 2020 and will continue to surface throughout 2021. Hyro has previously released collabs with Chad Gray of Hellyeah and Mudvayne, as well as David Draiman of Disturbed.

As for his most recent effort, in addition to crediting the quality of the infused product with his team of collaborators, Hyro explains how the track echos the sentiment of most people that are currently trying to make sense of the world during such a turbulent time.

“‘Retaliation Generation’ is a great song that represents the style of music I have come to be known for,” Hyro shares. “Having Spencer sing the hook and Matt Good on production blasted this track into ‘anthem’ territory. I think this song captures the emotion of what this generation feels in this crazy time we are living in. It’s full on attack mode right from the beginning it’s such a great feeling when an artist like Spencer helps take a song like this to the next level. I want anybody who listens to this song to be a voice. Stand up for what you believe in.”

Spencer Charnas also weighed in on the significance of the track’s message and it’s tone of optimism.. “I think with everything going on in the last several years, our generation is holding people accountable. It’s a movement in terms of a ‘You ain’t getting away with this shit anymore.’ It’s a battle cry.” He continues, “I think it’s got such a cool overall message of not letting trials and tribulations of the world get you down. I think people can be their own worst enemy, and this is a song of empowerment. You can fight for what you believe in. It’s up to you to put up or shut up.”

Hyro The Hero will be appearing later this month in support of Fire From The Gods and Ill Nino on the American Revolucion livestream. The broadcast will take place on January 30th and will feature Fire From the Gods performing their 2020 LP American Sun in its entirety from the rooftop of the Mohawk in their hometown of Austin Texas.
