For the first time in 15 years, the post hardcore elite of The Sound of Animals Fighting have confirmed new music and an especially rare tour. The assembly comprised of Anthony Green along with Matt Embree, Chris Tsagakis, and Rich Balling of Rx Bandits and Hospital Gown, are set to release their first EP since 2008’s The Ocean and the Sun full length.

Slated for a December 16th arrival date via Born Losers Records, APESHIT will lands as a four-track effort nearly two decades in the making. Of the band’s core members, The Nightingale, Rich Balling spoke of how the presentation of new material is the band’s best foot forward while still retaining the creative integrity that made the outfit such a championed band among fans in the know.

“APESHIT is equal parts renewal and the culmination of all that came before. A revival of spirit while maintaining the integrity of the key ingredients and processes that have always made this project a rewarding outlet for us. It is our best work,” says The Nightingale.

In addition to the confirmation of the band’s new release, The Sound of Animals Fighting will also embark on an very rare, 13-date tour set for early 2023. Enlisting Hail The Sun and Concrete Castles for the duration of the run, Record Setter, Kitty and wstdyth will also provide support on select dates.

Tickets for the tour are set to go on-sale Friday October 21st at 10am local time.

Knotfest will host an exclusive pre-sale event starting at 10:00am local time on Wednesday October 19th, running through Thursday October 20th at 10:00pm local.
