The announcement is coupled with news of the band’s extended partnership with global metal giant, Nuclear Blast Records.

Swedish heavy music stalwarts In Flames have set a course for domination in 2022, unveiling a cluster of important announcements that underscore the band’s auspicious forecast.

In Flames has announced they have further cemented their longstanding partnership with Nuclear Blast Records by re-signing with the extreme music authority in a deal that will have global implications.

The managing director of Nuclear Blast Marcus Hammer shared of the deal, “We are extremely happy to welcome In Flames back into the NBR family on a worldwide basis. Here’s the message to the metal world: A new metal masterpiece is about to drop and you can guarantee there is no decay visible. Quite the contrary. In Flames and Nuclear Blast will kill it together — once again and stronger than ever!”

Echoing that sentiment and hinting at what is in the immediate future, senior A&R Nathan Barley Phillips added, “As a dedicated long-serving Jesterhead myself, it gives me great pleasure to represent In Flames as they embark on this exciting new chapter of their illustrious career. I cannot wait for you all to hear what this incredible band have in store!”

Establishing a promising new chapter in the already storied career of the Gothenburg legends, the band have introduced their most current iteration with release of their turbo-charged new single, “State of Slow Decay”. A skilled showing of speed, precision, and melodic metal horsepower, the track recently premiered live at Sweden Rock festival and now includes a studio version and accompanying visual that captures the same live electricity.

“We have always done our own thing without any pressure from the outside world, BUT being back with Nuclear Blast worldwide has for sure inspired us to write a host of new material that includes the past, the present, and the future,” comments frontman Anders Fridén.

“‘State of Slow Decay’ includes everything that In Flames are known for. But it’s more than just a song, it’s a fucking statement. I couldn’t be happier to release this as a taste of what’s to come.”

Further emphasizing the significance of the band’s newest campaign, In Flames has also confirmed a massive North American fall tour with a roster of ascending sensations that have tapped into the spirit of the underground. Enlisting Fit For An Autopsy, fellow countrymen Orbit Culture and fast-rising aggressors Vended, In Flames parade as metal’s savvy veterans and ever-relevant pace pushers.

Knotfest will be offering premium members access to a special pre-sale that begins Wednesday June 15th at 12pm local time. Fans will have access to tickets prior to the tour’s general on-sale date of Friday June 17th at 12pm local. A complete list of dates can be found below.
