The two-track ‘Upon Loss’ drop includes a pair of new visuals for “Deep in the Willow” / “Everything is Quiet Now” directed by Eric Richter and Bryan Garris.
Showcasing their first release of new music since their ambitious 2021 EP and accompanying short film, A Tear In the Fabric of Life, hardcore gamechangers Knocked Loose have debuted a tandem of new singles dubbed the Upon Loss Singles.
“Deep in the Willow” / “Everything is Quiet Now” arrive as the band’s latest show of musical force and reiterate their artistic depth, packaged with two new cinematic music videos helmed by director Eric Richter and the band’s own, Bryan Garris.
“‘Deep in the Willow’ and ‘Everything is Quiet Now’ are a reminder that we are heavy, intense, and extreme,” Garris explains.
“Some elements come and go, but those will never change. After ‘A Tear in the Fabric of Life’ we were inspired to see how much art we could incorporate moving forward – which led us to a style of video we’ve never attempted or approached. Taking myself specifically far outside of my comfort zone and pushing the boundaries on how I’ve been seen in the past was a creative experience I will never forget. This video wouldn’t be what it is without the collaboration with Eric Richter, someone we’ve admired for a while. And the songs wouldn’t be what they are without [producer] Drew Fulk, a new friend and creative ear in the entire process.”
The Upon Loss singles, “Deep in the Willow” / “Everything is Quiet Now”, are currently available across all DSPs via Pure Noise Records. The Upon Loss Singles will also be released on 10” vinyl format. Fans can pre-order the limited physical release – HERE
The pair of intense new singles land as Knocked Loose continue their campaign of live domination. Earlier this year, the band made headlines with their successive standout showings at both weekends of Coachella.
Due to perform at Bonnaroo this weekend, Lollapalooza in August, an extensive European festival run later this summer (including a set at Reading and Leeds) followed by a two month domestic stretch in the fall on the Motionless In White: The Touring The End Of The World Tour, Knocked Loose continue their relentless pace on the road.
