Making good on the promise of new music this week, the genre titans complete their week of major announcements with the blistering single, “Nevermore”
Earlier this week, Virginia’s groove metal Goliath Lamb of God officially began their ninth full length album campaign with the news of their October 7th LP, Omens. The album serves as the follow up to their unanimously-praised 2020 self-titled release – an album that is still earning adulation by way of sold out shows with Lamb of God touring relentlessly since it’s debut – now completing two legs of the celebrated Metal Tour of the Year run alongside thrash pillars, Megadeth.
Coupled with the news of the arrival of Omens later this fall, Lamb of God also unveiled their biggest headlining trek to date with launch of The Omens Tour. Joining forces with American metal brethren Killswitch Engage, the 26-date caravan will also carry in tow a roster of some of heavy music’s most exciting artists including rotating opening sets from Baroness, Motionless In White, Spiritbox, Animals As Leaders, Suicide Silence and Fit For An Autopsy.
Punctuating a major week of movement for the band, Lamb of God has made good on the promise to preview Omens this week with the official introduction to the album with the arrival of the lead single, “Nevermore”:
In line with Lamb of God frontman D. Randall Blythe initial assessment of the project, “Nevermore” further underscores the reality that this may be the band’s angriest effort to date. “The world is crazy and keeps changing. Omens is a reaction to the state of the world,” emphasizes Blythe. “It’s a very pissed-off record. It is extremely pissed-off.“
Omens is now available for pre-order – HERE. There are also several exclusive items paired with the pre-order, including a signed colored vinyl variant, shirt, hoodie, and signed CDs with an alternate color cover. All physical CD and Vinyl releases will include a free access code to watch the livestream viewing of “The Making of Omens” documentary, which will premiere the week of the October 7th Omens arrival date.
