The band shared the new music as their exit track following their crushing performance at Grant Park.

While the internet continues to flood with images and reactions from this weekend’s Lollapalooza festivities, one name that continues to penetrate the conversation is that of the nu-metal icons in Limp Bizkit.

While the big headline was Fred Durst’s new, surly high school sports coach esthetic, the band not only delivered an electrifying performance, but punctuated their stage time with a victory lap that included the debut of a new track from the band in “Dad Vibes.”

Addressing the crowd as the band made thier exit, Durst said to the Lollapalooza attendees taking part, “This song right here, it’s for you and only you.” Durst continued, “It’s a song off our new album called ‘Dad Vibes.’ I want to see everybody out there dancing right now. Let me see how you do it.” Durst and the band proceeded to take it to the crowd, coming off the stage and walking the barricade to kick out freebies and relish in their triumph.

The offering of new music furthers the speculation that the long-awaited follow-up to the band’s 2011 Gold Cobra may finally be on the way. Catch the band’s victorious Lolla exit here.
