Emerging as one of the standouts from the inaugural Pulse of the Maggots Festival, 156/Silence continue to turn heads with their potent combination of hardcore angst and articulate heft.
The band has released the deluxe edition of their Irrational Pull LP on SharpTone Records and among the bonus material on the album includes an ambitious cover of a true classic.
Taking on “Them Bones” from Alice In Chains’ seminal 1992 album Dirt, 156/Silence capture the grit of the original version while asserting their own interpretation of one of rock music’s timeless standards.
156/Silence guitarist Ryan Wilkinson commented, “I’m probably the most excited for everyone to hear our cover of ‘Them Bones.’ As a huge Alice In Chains fan myself it was really fun learning that song and putting a bit of our own spin on it.”
Closing out their 2020 with the deluxe edition release and a scorching performance on the Musicares Stage on the Pulse of the Maggots Festival, the band played alongside prospects like Death Tour and Diamond Construct. Asserting a new class of heavy artists challenging the conventions of the category, 156/Silence thrive as a collective that embraces the best parts of various subgenres to create something all their own.
