The band’s ‘Perfectly Preserved’ album arrives February 12th and will be celebrated with their global streaming release event and performance.
Led by pioneering Korn guitarist Brian “Head” Welch, Love and Death are adding to their momentum going into the release of their sophomore effort, Perfectly Preserved .
With the album set to drop February 12th, the band made an emphatic reintroduction with the release of the lead single, “Down”. Since it’s November 2020 release, the single has already tallied some 1.2 million global streams and more than 600k views, resonating well with fans excited about the project.
The band has shared another single from the album with the scorcher, “White Flag”. Enlisting the help of Ryan Hayes of the metalcore outfit, Righteous Vendetta, the track showcases the band’s ability to fluidly transition from the aggressive to the ethereal with both melody and heft anchoring the single.
In celebration of the release of their first album in 8 years, Love and Death will couple Perfectly Preserved with a global streaming event that will see the band perform selected tracks from their sophomore album, in addition to established fan favorites frothier 2013 debut, Between Here and Lost. The added significance of the event is that the streaming performance is also the band’s first show in more than 7 years.
Head shared the following of the event. “When I reached out to the Love and Death band members, crew and special guests about the arduous task of aligning everyone’s schedules, everyone was like ‘let me check my schedule…, yep, totally free that day!’ I guess that’s the popular answer for all musicians this year! This concert is going to be something totally new for us. We’ve all had the privilege of playing concerts for decades and have traveled the world many times over, but putting together a global streaming event with so many talented musicians and sharing vocals with these amazing singers is a first for me!
