The clip features a very DIY approach, with each members of the band submitting their own green screen footage to assemble the visual.
Industrial metal veterans Ministry have revealed the official music video for their track “Believe Me” from their critically lauded 15th studio album Moral Hygiene. The psychedelic video is a departure from their previous singles “Search and Destroy” and “Disinformation,” in that it is completely DIY. Each member filmed themselves preparing for their upcoming tour in front of an inexpensive green screen, with the footage being meshed together in editing. The band is hoping to inspire other artists to get creative, even when budgets are tight.
Commenting on the Moral Hygiene album, Al Jourgensen has said: “We cover everything — from the actual pandemic to climate change to the political climate now. And I don’t mean so much the politicians as much as the rise of fascist tendencies all over the world and in various countries. And a lot of life topics like that.”
Ministry is set to kick off their Industrial Strength Tour on March 2, joined by the Melvins and Corrosion of Conformity. They will debut new songs from Moral Hygiene alongside celebrating the 30th anniversary of seminal album The Mind Is A Terrible Thing To Taste. Due to overwhelming demand, Ministry added 13 new dates with the tour now running through April 18.
