The band is confirmed to perform exclusively at four Danny Wimmer Presents productions including Inkcarceration Music & Tattoo Festival, Louder Than Life, Aftershock and Welcome To Rockville.
While the rumors and speculation have long thrived online, the news has now broke that after a long 12-year drought, the world will once again experience the massive sound of Mudvayne.
Since the band’s 1996 formation, the crew of Chad Gray (vocals), Greg Tribbett (guitar, backing vocals), Matthew McDonough (drums, synthesizer) and Ryan Martinie (bass) has tallied some six million records sold and three gold record certifications surpassed with plaques for ‘L.D. 50′, ‘The End Of All Things To Come’, and ‘Lost and Found‘.
The band’s resurfacing also comes with the news of a full dance card lined up for 2021 as Mudvayne has been confirmed to perform exclusively at four different marquee events for hard rock and heavy music authority Danny Wimmer Presents productions. Mudvayne is set to headline the 2021 installment of Inkcarceration Music & Tattoo Festival. The head banging weekender takes place September 10-12 at Ohio State Reformatory in Mansfield, Ohio – the same place where The Shawshank Redemption was famously filmed. (The full lineup announcement drops 4/20 at Noon ET)
The band will take on three additional dates to complete a triumphant 2021 including confirmed sets at the Highland Festival Grounds at KY Expo Center in Louisville, Kentucky for Louder Than Life. The festival is set for September 23rd through 26th. Mudvayne has been confirmed the surprise special guest for October 8th’s Aftershock date. The festival’s weekend passes are gone but a very limited amount of single day passes remain.
Finally, the band closes out the year with Danny Wimmer at the Daytona International Speedway down in Daytona Beach, Florida. Welcome to Rockville takes place November 11th though the 14th.
Danny Wimmer, founder of Danny Wimmer Presents explained the grand unveiling of the highly-anticipated reunion, “In our fan surveys, Mudvayne has consistently been one of the most requested bands – even though they weren’t an active band! We’ve been working for years to make this happen, so when I got the call that they’d finally take a meeting, [DWP Executive VP & Talent Buyer] Gary Spivack and I jumped at the chance to fly to Vegas. We sat down for dinner with Mudvayne, their lawyer Eric German, manager Diony Sepulveda and agent Ryan Harlacher – the band hadn’t even been in the same room together for 10 years – and pleaded our case for why the time was right for this to happen. We were hoping to announce this in 2020, we’re fortunate enough to be able to do it in 2021, and DWP is super pumped to have Mudvayne exclusively at all four of our festivals this year.”
