From Eric Clapton and Jeff Beck to Zakk Wylde and Tony Iommi, the follow-up to Ordinary Man is shaping up to be epic.

The highly-anticipated follow-up to Ozzy’s brilliant return to form in Ordinary Man is getting the kind of star-power befitting the heavy metal icon. With The Prince of Darkness already having confirmed that he was collaborating with Metallica’s Robert Trujillo, Red Hot Chili Peppers’ Chad Smith, and Foo Fighters’ Taylor Hawkins, Ozzy has revealed another list of creative cohorts that no doubt add to the legendary potential of the release.

Once again working with producer Andrew Watt, the creative team has enlisted the expertise of Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck, Zakk Wylde and Black Sabbath compatriot Tony Iommi for the next edition in the anthology of Ozzy. As initially reported via Blabbermouth, Ozzy revealed the news on the latest installment of Ozzy Speaks via Sirius XM’s Ozzy Boneyard station. Speaking with Billy Morrison, Ozzy shared, “On this new album, I’m working with Jeff Beck, Eric Clapton, Tony Iommi and Zakk (Wylde).”

As for the dynamic of working collaboratively, Ozzy confided both sides of the exchange. “The good thing is it’s interesting to work with somebody else. But the bad thing is if it don’t work, you can’t [let it go] ’cause they’ll get all pissed off,” Ozzy detailed.

As for the status of the record, Ozzy revealed in an interview with Metal Hammer that were already about 15 completed tracks intended for his next studio full length release. Ozzy further elaborated, “My only concern right now is finishing the bloody thing,” he said. “We’ve got the same production time as the last time, so there’s definitely going to be some similarities. But you’ll just have to wait and see what you think.”

Ozzy will be joined by the legendary Judas Priest for a run of shows beginning in 2022. The tour has been rescheduled multiple times and will finally begin to kick of the next year. See a list of dates below.
