On a recent appearance on The Graham Norton Radio Show, Sharon Osbourne shared that the Prince of Darkness of eyeing a September release date.

The follow-up to the celebrated 2020 full length Ordinary Man from Ozzy Osbourne is one of the most-anticipated albums of the year and it looks like there is a targeted timeframe for it’s release.

Sitting in for an interview on The Graham Norton Radio Show, Sharon Osbourne shed a bit of light on the plan for the thirteenth album. When asked about Ozzy and his current status following his recent bout with Covid, Sharon offered a positive status update, “He’s good. He’s really, really good. He’s finished another album which is coming out in September. And there we are. He’s busy in the studio. He still does all his writing and singing, and it keeps him really happy… He’ll never stop singing and writing. We’ve built him a big studio here [at the Osbourne residence in the U.K.], so he can do it all at home. And he can’t wait to come back, to be honest with you.”

The album features the production talents of Andrew Watt, who played an integral role in the success of Ordinary Man. The speculation surrounding the new album is fueled by collaborative work with heavyweights in rock, including the pairing of Ozzy with Black Sabbath cohort, Tony Iommi as well as longtime guitarist, Zakk Wylde.

Among the names also listed in the ensemble cast of contributors include the likes of Robert Trujillo of Metallica, Chad Smith of Red Hot Chili Peppers, Duff McKagan of Guns N Roses, Mike McCready of Pearl Jam, and Josh Homme of Queens of The Stone Age. A testament to Ozzy’s legacy and reach, the album is also said to feature contributions from Jeff Beck and Eric Clapton.

News of the projected time line aligns with the more formal update that was shared on Ozzy’s socials back in early April. Ozzy shared that the yet-to-be-named album was delivered to Epic Records and the plan for the rollout would be shared in the coming weeks.
