Buzzworthy New York alternative outfit Soul Blind scored a direct hit with their lauded 2021 EP, Third Chain. Hailed for it’s depth of songwriting and it’s contemporary balance of grunge-accented alt with the occasional stanza of shoegaze, the release put Soul Blind on the map with regards to artists on an upward trajectory.
The strength of the release was such that the pending full length debut only grew more anticipated and now, fans have the news they have been waiting for. Soul Blind will reveal their debut full length studio record, Feel It All Around on November 11th on Other People Records. Working with veteran producer Will Yip, whose work includes masterclasses from Title Fight and Turnover, the album, offers stirring testimony to the trauma and turbulence spurned by the isolation of the pandemic.
Having already shared the standalone single in “Stuck In A Loop”, the band have made the news official with the release of the single “System (Failing)” – a track rife with emotion and depicting the toxicity of relationships and the need to move on as a means of personal growth.
The band’s bassist and vocalist Cen further explained the thematic weight of the track. “This one tackles someone sucking the life out of you, but instead you reflect that feeling and actively bring about the change you wish to see within them by removing yourself. It’s about the personal progression out of situations that don’t do anything for you anymore.”
Fresh off of a touring stint supporting the likes of Drug Church and Angel Du$t, Soul Blind have been making believers out of fans at every stop. This fall, the band will head to Europe and the UK to perform live for audiences abroad for the first time sharing the stage with Stick To Your Guns, Knocked Loose, LANDMVRKS, and Scowl.
